Fun In The Sun

WBYO hosts a series of weekly themed outings during the months of July - August for all our youth.
Daily, we will bring the WBYO Outing Bag full of sports equipment, drawing supplies, books, and more!

All we ask is that you register and submit the permission slip
​to us at 646 Portage Avenue or email us at [email protected].

Also, please ensure your children has a pair of running shoes,
a lunch and water bottle, a hat, and sunscreen!

For safety purposes, children can only be dropped off/picked up
at 646 Portage Avenue excluding specific days stated on calendars.

Outdoor Week

Every day this week we will visit a park with a play structure, field, and possibly a kiddy pool!

This is a great start to learning everyones names and bonding at the outdoors!

Wheel Week

Children must bring their bike and helmet and drop off/pick up is at Gordon Bell Field all this week!

The first day we will have our bikes tuned and fixed up by enthusiastic cycling generous volunteers from the W.R.E.N.C.H. team.

​The rest of the week we will ride our bike to nearby and far away parks to play sports, cards, do kart wheels, or swing on a tree.

Water Week

This week is exclusive to
Super Summer Slide participants.
Children must bring their swimsuit
​and towel all this week!

We will be visiting various indoor and outdoor water parks and pools for big splashing, water sliding, Marco - Polo, and games of "Gopher"!

Artastic Week

We will visit Winnipeg Fringe Festival at Old Market Square and watch amazing performers eat swords, juggle chainsaws, spit fire balls and more!

We also visit Manitoba Theatre For Young People to watch incredible actors put on a play.

Collages and tye dye are a fun activity we do during this week too.

Sports Week

This week is dedicated to playing as many sports as we can handle such as rock climbing, soccer, skateboarding, basketball, four square, football, golfing, and more!

We'll be very active this week, so participants should bring an extra water bottle to refuel!

Mad Science Week

A week to learn about the solar system, history, math, gravity, and we even participate in frightening challenges!

Kids Choice Week

Everyday we participate in one of the two activities voted on by the majority of the children!

We may visit the skate park, splash at a pool, stay in to play video games, have a Lego competition, go on a movie outing, knock down pins during a bowling session, and more!

Staff Choice Week

A week for the WBYO Staff!

Staff decide what activities and outings we will partake in! Ranging from go karting, Flying Squirrel, tournaments, carnivals, or just staying in to count how many critters are painted on our basement walls, any day can be any anything!

Wacky Week

Everyday we dress up! IT could be pajama day, wacky hat day, backwards day, or anything else that is wacky and fun! We then all vote on who is the best dressed, and the winner then gets a yummy treat at the end of the day!

During the week, we have some of
our most exciting adventures, ranging
from carnivals, horse back riding, BBQ's
​with near limitless hotdogs, and more!
