Dreams is a career mentorship program that provides youth ages 10 to 16 with the opportunity to explore the infinite possibilities their future holds, and supplies them with the tools to get there. The core of the Dreams program is the mentorship meeting. This is an event in person or via Zoom where a child gets the one on one opportunity to meet somebody who works within their dream career field. Though these meetings usually only last around two hours, the lasting effect they have is immeasurable. The mentors provide a concrete base for the child’s dream. Our hope is that once they meet somebody who is actively living their dream, it becomes an achievable goal, and a possible reality as opposed to a drifting wish. All of the meetings have been successful and rewarding for all involved, and we appreciate all of the mentors helping our kids build life-long memories. |
